Peace Kitchen at Asian Heritage Week
On 5 June 2024, as part of the inaugural Asian Heritage Week in Melbourne, we hosted a Peace Kitchen dialogue on how cherished food memories shape our sense of identity and belonging. Drawing on our founder, Dr Elaine Pratley's PhD research on food and peacebuilding, we helped participants dig deep to explore their different experiences of identity, the ways they practised their cultural heritages in multicultural Australia, and how they negotiate feelings of cultural imposter syndrome.
